Problem / Issue

Santa Rosa College would like CCCApply to consider collecting non-binary pronouns at the point of application. I know a lot of work has been done on this subject, but I was curious if pronouns are being addressed at all.  This site give more details about Gender Neutral / Gender Inclusive Pronouns: https://uwm.edu/lgbtrc/support/gender-pronouns/

Below is a table of pronouns that some in the transgender community currently accept.

The idea behind collecting this is to help those who work with students to properly address them.  In the news it seems that, some originations are concerned that not using the preferred pronouns could be considered a violation of title IX. Either way, I think it’s worth a discussion at one of our meetings.

Proposed Solution

Notes

Likely this would be incorporated into CCCApply v3.
