Proposed Technical Approach

Implement and insert a micro-service between BOGFW and the database(s) so that any data update can be seen by "Glue" and using the Conductor we can make decisions about where else besides the "CCCAPPLY" databases we write the data. Note that the data will still flow into the CCCApply databases without fail.
So, we do not need to immediately replace anything on the Apply side. The download clients will still function, etc.
The college adapter will get data from the micro-service to store in the colleges' SIS that opt in to the service. In other words, those colleges may opt to turn off the download client.
Also, the data can be written to the Student Profile service so MyPath has it and can notify the student of success independent of the College Promise application.
And finally, the data warehouse can be updated if we wish.
I asked Ben to work with Brian Schroeder to prototype this microservice and show by the end of January that we can populate an SIS (probably Ventura's Banner) with the BOGFW data. He will need at a minimum to speak with Josh at Unicon, but Josh may be inclined to help out a bit. That would be Patty's call.
Note that in Ashwini's absence I am asking Ben to prioritize this work over other Glue work so that we can have a successful demonstration of Glue by the end of January. I am not expecting any miracles on the BOGFW side, but I know Omid is so Mike and Patty may still need to talk about that.

12.15.17: Sean Burke email thread , regarding "As far as PM "stuff" goes, the following questions will need to be answered to start:

- Is College Promise Integration a new project?

- If so, what grant is funding this (required for alignment of the Charter). The answer to this question will also determine the Director responsible as well as if there is a PMO PM available to staff (still trying to backfill the TCI PM spot).

- It sounds like Patty is the Product Owner. Would need confirmation.

- Also need to determine priority in context with other projects in flight.
