CCCApply Enhancements

New Military Joint Services Transcript (JST) Opt-In Question

A new conditional question has been added to the military section of the CCCApply Standard Application that allows current and former military students to authorize the college to obtain their Joint Services Transcript (JST) from the U.S. Department of Defense on their behalf and evaluate their credit for prior learning eligibility. This question was requested by the MAP Initiative (Mapping Articulated Pathways) in conjunction with the CCC Chancellor’s Office.

Scope of implementation:

  • New conditional question has been added to the CCCApply Standard application only (displays based on military status).

  • New data field <military_jst_optin> will be delivered with submitted application data via Superglue v.5.2.2.

  • New field will also be available for ad hoc reporting in the CCCApply Report Center and the Data Warehouse.

How It Works

The question will only display if the applicant selects one of the following U.S. Military Status responses:

  • Active Duty - I am currently serving on active duty

  • Veteran - I served in the U.S. military

  • Active Reserve - I am a member of the Active Reserve

  • National Guard - I am a member of the National Guard

If displayed, the applicant is required to respond Yes or No to the Authorization to Request & Evaluate Joint Services Transcript for College Credit question.
