Release Summary

CCCApply Enhancements

New Auto-Release Suspended Applications

Colleges now have more control over how they manage suspected fraud applications using a new "Application Release Override" feature implemented in the legacy spam filter. Designed to be an optional feature, colleges can now set a custom fraud score ceiling on applications flagged as suspected fraud (but below the threshold) and have them immediately delivered to your college for investigation instead of automatically being suspended in the spam filter. Colleges control if and when the score ceiling is changed and enabled.

Read more about it in the Using the Application Utilities section of the CCCApply Administrator User Guide.

New Do Not Display Delivered Applications Toggle

Another new optional feature has been implemented in the legacy spam filter tool that - if enabled - will only suspend and display the spam applications that have not been delivered to the college. This feature works with the Application Release Override to help expedite your processing of fraudulent applications.

Note: Both features are currently only available in the legacy spam filter. Look for these enhancements in the updated spam filter tool in a later release.

OpenCCC Enhancements

New Manual ID Verification Tool

The ability to manually verify a student’s identity has been implemented in the OpenCCC Administrator (also known as the OpenCCC “account creation” tool). Now in addition to creating CCCID accounts on behalf of a student, authorized staff can now manually set or update one or more students' ID verification status to “Staff Verified”, thus giving colleges another tool for ensuring identity verification. Manual staff verification can be done for a single student or multiple students simultaneously via bulk upload process. Staff updates are now also tracked and timestamped for better user auditing.

New features include:

  • Search for a student account by CCCID, Email, or Social Security number

  • Verify a single student account or bulk verify multiple students at once

  • Track changes by staff name and timestamp for easy auditing.
