OpenCCC 2.2.0 deployed to the Pilot environment on February 23, 2023 for user acceptance testing. Production deployment was Wednesday, March 22, 2023.
New CCC Student Account Chatbot
The OpenCCC 2.2.0 release includes the new CCC Student Account and Student Support Site chatbot. The chatbot is configured to assist students looking for help when creating their CCC Student Account. It seeks to answer frequently asked questions, such as
How do I create my OpenCCC Account?
I didn’t receive my account validation code in my email or mobile text message. What do I do?
I keep getting a message that my account already exists. Why is this happening, and what do I do now?
I’m trying to sign in with my home phone number. Why am I getting an error message?
How can I reset my account password?
I tried to reset my password, but I didn’t receive the validation code yet. What do I do?
Why do I keep seeing the Session Expiration message?
The chatbot displays in the bottom-right corner of the Student Account Sign-in page and on every page of the student account system. Once the pilot phase is complete, and the chatbot is deployed into production, it will also display on every page of the ccchelp.info student support site. After the successful launch of the student account system chatbot, the California Community Colleges Technology Center plans to integrate the chatbot into the CCCApply online application system to support students with their online college applications.
Update for New 840 and 341 Area Codes
OpenCCC 2.2.0 includes a fix for the following issue:
Students encountering validation errors when entering a phone number with an 840 or 341 area code during account creation or account updates
