MIS Integration APIs

For integrations like MIS, an OAuth access token using stored client credentials is generated.

A new page called Integrations has been added under Site Administration, accessible only to CCCCO Admins. It lets them securely store and manage credentials for external system integrations (e.g., MIS integration).

Credentials can be verified for individual integrations via a Test Authentication button on the page.

When a MIS API call fails to assign a control number for a course, COCI automatically flags the course and retries synchronization to prevent delays. CCCCO Admins can configure retry timing on the Integration page.

When a College Submitter submits a course in COCI, MIS immediately assigns a control number if the course is valid. If invalid, the system generates an error message. The control number generation is recorded and logged.

If the MIS sync fails and a control number is not assigned when a course is submitted, a College Submitter can use the Retry MIS Sync button on the Course Detail page to manually retry synchronization for that course.

For CCCCO Admins, the dashboard includes a widget showing MIS sync status at a glance, with the ability to drill down into affected courses. This lets them quickly identify and monitor integration failures without visiting the MIS admin page.

The Dashboard Widget has the following features:

  • Summary cards showing counts by sync status: Pending, Failed, Synced, Retry In Progress, Max Retries Exceeded

  • Last successful sync time and last MIS outage time

  • Stats persist until course syncs successfully (not reset on login)

  • Layout matches existing dashboard sections

The Affected Courses View includes the following features:

  • Clickable drill-down from dashboard to affected courses list

  • Each row shows course details, sync status, last attempt timestamp, retry count, error message

  • Filter by sync status (Failed, Pending Retry, Synced, Max Retries Exceeded)

  • Date range filter to narrow results

COCI-C-ID Integration

C-ID submission details for a course sync to the Articulation tab of the Course Form in COCI. This eliminates the need to manually associate course mapping details between the two applications.

COCI Public Profile

Search engines are blocked from crawling lower COCI environments such as CI, QA, and PILOT. Only the COCI production environment appears in search results for "COCI".

All Courses

Additional information has been added to the course form page header:

  • Course identifying information (read-only): Course Title, Proposal ID, Course Control Number (CB00), and COCI Submission Number.

  • Version access: A tool above the course title lets users switch between Published, Scheduled, and Draft course versions.

  • Course status indicator: A status indicator on all Course page tabs shows if the active version is Published, Scheduled, or in Draft status.

  • Breadcrumb navigation lets users move to higher-level views without losing context. It displays Home → Course Inventory → [Course ID/Title] → [Current Tab].

In the Create New Course modal, selecting Common for Course Type auto-populates the CIP code from the CCN template.

In an All Courses export, the CIP code appears for all courses to help users identify courses needing a CIP code and compare each course's CIP code to its TOP code.

If new fields are added to the course form, College Submitters can activate all previously approved courses without filling in the new fields or resubmitting the courses for approval.

The All Courses Beta page results table can be filtered by All Courses, Active CIP Code, or No CIP Code to identify courses with or without CIP codes without clicking each code.

On the All Courses Beta page, users can select TOP Code (CB03) from the Display Columns menu to compare TOP codes and CIP Codes side-by-side for each course.

Save Settings has been added as an option at the bottom left of the Display Columns menu.

Users are redirected to the All Courses Beta page after completing actions on the manage, view, or course history pages.

When a college submitter changes only the CIP code on the course form, the course may be submitted without validation errors despite missing or incomplete fields elsewhere on the form.

Public Course Report

Users can filter the public course report results table by All Courses, Active CIP Code, or No CIP Code to quickly view courses with or without CIP codes without clicking each code.
