User Index

The User Index page no longer uses jQuery data tables. Livewire now serves as a modern replacement, offering:

  • Fewer JavaScript dependencies

  • Simplified server-side filtering, sorting, and pagination

  • Reusable patterns for all list pages

  • Enhanced developer experience and maintainability

Developer Database

The database image for the developer environment has been updated.

Dashboard

The dashboard's Course list results table now includes a column showing the number of programs linked to each course. Clicking the count opens the linked Program list in the All Programs results table. This lets College Submitters quickly see how many programs will be affected by deactivation and act promptly if needed.

The course list results table includes a checkbox for each linked program to indicate if the course will be removed during deactivation.

All Courses

Teachout Only is now available as a Proposal Status option for bulk course changes on the All Courses page. College Submitters can select Set Teachout Only in the Change Status window for bulk updates. This status will appear in the Proposal Status column of the course table.

College Submitters can now view the programs linked to courses that will Auto Deactivate on their Dashboard. This allows them to see which programs will be affected. For each linked program, the following information is provided: Program Title, Status, PCN, and a View link.

When a College Submitter creates a course, a course record is generated in draft status, with a Proposal ID and COCI Submission Number assigned. The submitter is directed to the Course Edit (Draft) on the Course Attributes tab, allowing them to make corrections or additions without navigating back to the newly created course to click the Edit button.

If any fields in the course form are empty or invalid, the modal remains open when they click Create. Inline errors display, allowing quick identification of problems, and the page focuses on the first error.

In the Create New Course form, the primary action label now reads Create instead of Save Changes for clarity.

A banner on the All Courses page lets users access a beta version before release and provides an email for feedback.

The beta version of the All Courses page includes a cross link to return to the original version without using browser navigation. The beta version also lets users search by CIP code.

When a College Submitter clicks the Create New Course button, a modal appears with a simplified layout to create a new course quickly.

The modal includes the following fields:

  • College

  • Title

  • TOP Code

  • CIP Code

  • Credit Status

  • Course Includes - Lecture or Laboratory

  • Course Type - Traditional or Common

When the College Submitter clicks Create in the modal, the entries display inline errors next to each problem, allowing them to be cleared.

The College Submitter can clear all fields or cancel.

The public Courses page now includes a CIP code column to display how CIP codes are adopted across the system. This column appears in the results table and the export on the public course report.

College submitters can now submit a course with only the CIP Code field changed and complete the submission without validation errors, even if other fields are missing or incomplete. This allows them to meet the chancellor's office mandate to provide a CIP Code for courses within the given timeframe.

All Programs

Although the program award codes are current, the award descriptions and certificate titles have been updated to align with CCCCO SP02 intent, using the abbreviated S/Q format to indicate semester or quarter. The updates affect the following locations on COCI:

  • Program Form

  • All Programs

  • My Programs

  • Public Programs Report

  • Approval Letter PDF

  • Report Extracts

In Program edit mode, a College Submitter may choose to keep or remove Courses scheduled for deactivation. This allows College Submitters to edit Program removal decisions. Changes are auditable and do not allow the submitter to override inactivation itself, only its effect on program structure.

The program award of ‘Bachelor of Science, B.S. Degree’ has been updated to ‘Baccalaureate of Science (B.S.) Degree’. This change is reflected in the following areas:

  • public programs

  • all programs

  • my programs

  • program form edit

  • program form review

  • program form view

Program Associated Courses

When a College Submitter adds courses from different campuses to a program, the college for each course is displayed in a column in the Associated Courses tab table.

A View Program link shows program details and associated course entries with status indicators in read-only mode.

The Associated Courses table under All Programs includes a toggle for College Submitters to auto-remove a course from a program when scheduled for deactivation. Selecting Yes unlinks the course from the program upon deactivation.

Course deactivation details appear in the Program History and Course History. Recorded details include:

  • Timestamp

  • Triggering event (e.g., Course inactivated)

  • Affected Program(s)

  • System user ID or process ID if system-triggered

Common Course Numbering

Lecture and Lab checkboxes have been added to the Common Course Template.

When both lecture and lab are checked, these fields change:

  • Laboratory Content, Required Topics

  • Representative Texts, Manuals, and/or OER that is equivalent, Other Support Materials

  • Representative Texts, Manuals, and/or OER that is equivalent, Other Support Materials (Lab Component)

When only lecture is checked, all fields remain except this one is added:

  • Representative Texts, Manuals, and/or OER that is equivalent, Other Support Materials

When only lab is checked, these field changes occur:

  • Course Content, Required Topics is hidden

  • Add Laboratory Content, Required Topics as a required field

  • Representative Texts, Manuals, and/or OER that is equivalent, Other Support Materials is added

The Common Course Template now includes the narrative fields: Other Limitations on Enrollment and Advisories/Recommended Preparation.

A dropdown CIP Code field has been added to the Common Course Template.

Users

Previously, CCCCO Admins and College Submitters had to enter an address for a user when adding or editing their profile. This requirement is now removed, and no validation error will appear when the user address field is left blank.
