COCI Known Issues for Version 4


Hours associated with CWE Courses migrated to Maximum Hours of Work field - open

Issue Summary: per the CCCCO, hours listed in Hours of Paid Work and Hours of Unpaid Work were combined into a single value and added to the Maximum Hours of Work field on the new course form. Users reported these two fields should not have been combined and instead Hours of Unpaid Work should be mapped to Minimum Hours of Work and Hours of Paid Work should me mapped to Maximum Hours of Work. Upon review, the CCCCO agrees with the feedback received from the field and has requested the combined value in Maximum Hours of Work to be removed and a revised mapping to be applied.

CDCP Eligibility Criteria Displaying 2 additional Options - open

Issue Summary: per the CCCCO, 2 additional dropdown options were added to the CDCP Eligibility Criteria field in 4.0 - Citizenship for Immigrants ( B ) and Health and Safety ( D ). Users reported these two options should not have been added and are not applicable for CDCP Eligibility. Upon review, the CCCCO has requested these two options be removed from the program form and from the program search criteria.

Workaround Available? Yes. Until these two options are removed, users should not select them when creating or editing programs/

Auto-calculation not running for credit courses when CB10 is set to N - closed

Issue Summary: When inputting hours values for credit courses CB07 and CB06 are not auto-calculating.

Workaround Available? Yes. Users should input the unit values directly into CB07 and CB06.

Details added on Transfer & Articulation tab are not displaying in View mode - closed

Issue Summary: C-ID and Transfer Mappings added on the Transfer and Articulation tabs do not display when viewing the course in read only/view mode.

Workaround Available? Yes. Users can either edit the course and navigate to the Transfer and Articulation tab, or they can go to the course history. Please Note: Changed made to courses that already have control numbers will not be reflected on the course history until the working copy is finalized and submitted.

College Submitter cannot set Active - Teachout Only Courses to Inactive - Closed

Issue Summary: College Submitters cannot modify the course status when the starting status is Active - Teachout Only. The Deactivate button is disabled.

Workaround Available? Yes. College Submitters can contact cociappsupport@openccc.zendesk.com to have these courses moved to Inactive status until the bug is resolved.

Comments made on Working Copy not displaying when course is finalized and submitted - Closed

Issue Summary: When a user is working with an Active course in Working Copy mode and adds a comment on the Contact page, that comment is saving and displaying only in the working copy. When the changes are finalized and the working copy is submitted, the copy is not being rendered on the Active version, nor is is displaying on the Course History page.

Issue Summary: Changes made to courses in Working Copy mode are not being displayed on the Course History page as keyword changes.

Workaround Available? No. Please note: the edits made to courses are reflected as expected on the Active record when the working copy is finalized and submitted

Date fields don't support keyboard entry - closed

Issue Summary: All users must use the date picker for the required COR Effective Date and District Governing Board Approval Date fields, as well as the optional COR Effective End Date field. Keyboard entry of the date is not currently supported

Workaround Available? Yes. After you click on the field, press the “esc” key on the keyboard. Doing so will override the calendar settings.

Auto-Approval workflow for Courses - closed

Issue Summary: Courses are going into Submitted status instead of Approved even when field validation is passed.

Changes to new or existing courses or programs - CloseD

Issue Summary: COCI was “rolled back” on Thursday, November 9th, 2023 at 8:00 PM. The rollback restored COCI to the look, feel, function and records stored in the database from 1:00 PM on Wednesday, November 8th, 2023. Users have since reported new records created and records modified between 1:00 PM on November 8th and 8:00 PM on November 9th are no longer displaying in COCI.

Resolution Available? Yes; partial. The COCI Support Team can manually re-enter any courses or programs that were added or modified in the window noted above. Supporting documentation needs to be re-added by College Users. After auditing the snapshot available against what is currently in production, several college users have already re-added their courses or programs.
