Impersonate a User

Impersonate a User

Because COCI uses complex validation rules, and, in some cases, user errors occur, users may contact the Chancellor’s Office or the Tech Center to request support. COCI provides an Impersonate User function to help provide support, which allows you to interact with the system under a different username, and experience the problem that the user that you are assisting is having first-hand. By seeing the problem that the user is having, you may be able to identify what is causing the problem and provide advice on how to fix it.

Note: You must be logged in under the CCCCO Admin user role to impersonate a user.

  1. Identify the name, user role, and college of the user needing assistance.

  2. From the left navigation panel go to Configure Accounts > Users — you are taken to the Manage User page.
