Summary
The CCCApply 2020 spring release is scheduled for March 27, 2020 - with a 30-day pilot preview release on February 28. This is a major release with a focus on user interface enhancements, bug fixes, and a handful of approved change requests in support of the CCCApply redesign effort, focused on breaking down barriers to student success and UI enhancements to streamline the student experience.

CCCApply Redesign Project
Many of the enhancements being implemented in this release continue to meet the goals and objectives established in the CCCApply Redesign project which began in the spring of 2018. Those objectives include, but are not limited to:
Adopt a student-centric approach to design and development and commit to making every design decision with the student in mind.
Implement industry-standards, best practices, and design principles in support of the student journey and Vision for Success.
Collaborate and engage with more college faculty and staff working directly with students.
Include more subject matter experts from our Chancellor's Office to support legal and statutory guidance
Engage the expertise of our systemwide partners (i.e., Foundation of the CCC, Immigrants Rising, AB 705 committee, and the California Colleges Guidance Initiative) to facilitate opportunities for hands-on student feedback and testing.

Mobile Support for OpenCCC
Now students can experience one cohesive mobile experience from creating their OpenCCC account through to CCCApply application submission. All responsive design work is complete on the OpenCCC Account system, including Account Recovery and both Edit Account applications.
College Support Services supports Chrome for Windows and Safari for Mac. Explore the new mobile design today and preview the student user experience.

New “Highest Grade Completed” Question is Added to the High School Transcript Information (Self-Reported Multiple Measures) Section on the Education Page
BIG STORY
Only in the Standard/Noncredit App
New question is being added to collect the user’s “Highest Grade Completed”
New question REPLACES the existing “Completed Eleventh Grade” Y/N question. That field will be deprecated but remains backwards compatible (does not need to be removed from downloads but will no longer collect data). Field will also remain in the CCCApply Report Center and Data Warehouse. Field will be removed from the CCCApply Administrator Rules & Messages.
Additional changes include: NEW CONDITIONS FOR DISPLAY - this is important because the HSTI section will now be displayed and required for ALL applicants who have completed high school or equivalent in the US. This means every applicant who has completed high school (or equivalency test) regardless of age. This is a big change to the current implementation that only displays for applicants who are within 10 years of graduation or equivalent.

Data Changes for the CCCApply Download Client
The following data fields have been added or changed in the CCCApply applications. The section below pertains specifically to the CCCApply Download Client; see further below for information related to data fields being added to SuperGlue. New Download Client Jar File for v.6.7.0
Update your CCCApply Download XML files for the v.6.7.0 release in order to download new or revised data fields with your CCCApply Download Client. All changes must be made to your CCCApply Format Definition XML file(s) and the Download Client Jar file must be updated with the latest version = transfer-client.6.7.0.jar For more information, please see the CCCApply Download Client User Guide > User Guides
Data Changes for SuperGlue for Apply
SuperGlue release 3.7.0 supports the student application data changes in CCCApply 6.7.0. Colleges using the SuperGlue College Adapter to stream student application data directly to their student information system (SIS) will need to upgrade to SuperGlue release 3.7.0. The SuperGlue 3.7.0 College Adapter will be available in advance of the CCCApply 6.7.0 pilot and production releases to allow college IT staff time to upgrade.

NEW! CC Promise Grant Application is now available in Spanish! Click on the “Cambiar A Espanol” button from any page in the application to switch the language to Spanish.
