Charge
The Cataloging work group is responsible for proposing policies related to cataloging, assisting in the development of cataloging workflows, and assisting in the development of training for those cataloging in the new shared environment.
Goals
To propose policies related to cataloging
To assist with the development of workflows for cataloging
To assist with the development of training in conjunction with the Professional Development Work Group
To report to the LSP Governance Committee and the field at-large on a regular basis
2019-2020 Objectives
Draft policies (required), best practices (operational) and recommendations (suggested, but not necessarily operational)
Create best practices for copy cataloging
Create best practices for original cataloging
Draft Network Zone policies in conjunction with the ERM/Acquisitions Work Group
Draft a basic manual for cataloging workflows and procedures
