Problem
Proposed Solution
This issue has been raised in the CCC-Admissions listserv, as well as emails from college staff, and discussed in the February 11, 2020 Steering meeting.
Linda Vann, VC, CCCCO - has posted that she is working with CCCApply on a change but I have not yet heard from them on this. Meanwhile, I will begin looking into this and talking to colleges on what they want.
Once we have a proposed change, we will announce to colleges for feedback.
Add a new value to the College Enrollment Status question in CCCApply to represent students who are concurrently enrolling in an Adult school and college.
Work with MIS to determine what the response option value should be for MIS reporting purposes
Talk to Apply dev team to determine restrictions / validity checks for response option value
Work on expanding the CDE schools subscription to include California adult schools ( https://www.cde.ca.gov/sp/ae/ds/ )
Maintain the HS Ed level value (review validity checks for current Special Admits - i.e., must select I attended Adult school
Ensure Adult Special Admits can report HS Trans Info, College Info,
Update the "Last High School Attended" question - this needs to be revised to a MENU with drop down options
Add option for MS - and if selected, display the input fields that appear for "My school is not on the list"
Add option for Adult / Continuation schools - display the input fields that appear for "My school is not on the list"

Email discussion on the CCC-ADMISSIONS listserv - Feb 2020
Hello,
Here is an update for you.
On SB 554, we are currently working with MIS on an update to identifier SB 11, in order to track adult students. In addition, we are working with CCCApply with regards to the blocker that is currently in place that does not allow a special admit student to be over the age of 22. Once we have these issues addressed a guidance memo will be released.
Regarding AB 1729, legal is currently working on a legal opinion for dual enrollment and we are in discussion about what the content will include. We hope to have the legal opinion by the end of the month and then can issue the guidance.
Best regards,
Linda Vann, MBA
