On This Page
The purpose of this release is to comply with ID.me requirements by enhancing user verification as a part of the ongoing effort to reduce fraudulent applications.
This release includes a new table titled “Events”, with nine new fields:
misCode
eventId
eventType
eventPayload
eventTimestamp
sisEventId
tstmpSISProcessed
sisProcessedFlag
sisProcessedNotesgge
This table is used when changing user information, such as changing their mailing address or ID.me verification status. Before information is changed, the existing values are copied to the “previous_xxx” field. The new values are stored in the fields without “previous_” in the field name.
Documentation
The new Events Table page details the field definitions as well as examples of usage.
Known Issues
Middle Name Triggers Status change
The verification status is designed to change from “verified” to “unverified” when a student is verified, then changes the value in one of these fields:
First Name
Last Name
Address
Date of Birth
Currently, the field Middle Name is also triggering the status change. This issue will be fixed with a hotfix planned for May 2025.
Verification Report Does Not Output Address or Date of Birth
The ID.me Verification Status Change Report does not include mailing address or date of birth. If an applicant becomes unverified due to changing one of those fields, the report will not show what changed. The college will have to identify the student by the ccc_id field and use that ID to look up their current mailing address and/or date of birth in the Data Warehouse Report Server or by using a BI tool to search for the ccc_id.
Verification Status Changes but is not Reported
The ID.me Verification Status Change Report runs one time per day, at midnight. When the report runs, it compares the current data to the report which was run at midnight on the previous day. If a student’s verification status is different on those two reports (such as going from null to verified), that student’s record will show on the change report.
However, if an applicant changes their verification status from “verified” to “unverified”, then changes it back to “verified”, within that 24 hour period, no report will be sent to the college indicating a change.
This means that in certain conditions, a student could change their mailing address and the college would not be notified about the change.
