This questionnaire is for Banner schools implementing the Course Exchange so that we can determine your setup and configure your system.

General Questions

  1. Quarter or Semester System?
  2. Single or Multi College?
  3. What are the MIS Code(s) of the college(s)?
  4. What e-mail addresses identify faculty and staff (ex: staff@school.edu)?
  5. What e-mail addresses, if any, identify students (ex: student@student.school.edu)?
  6. Have you populated C-ID on courses?
  7. Have you populated CCC IDs for students?

SSO Authentication to MyPath, Course Exchange, Canvas, etc

  1. What EPPN suffix is used to identify students who use SSO to log in to MyPath, Course Exchange, Canvas, etc? (ex: if the student authenticates as student@student.school.edu then the suffix is student.school.edu)
  2. What EPPN suffix is used to identify faculty and staff who log in through SSO to log in to MyPath, Course Exchange, Canvas, etc? (ex: if the student authenticates as staff@school.edu then the suffix is school.edu)

Student Questions:

  1. Where is the student's CCCID stored?

  2. Which STVRESD values are considered residents? Non-residents?AB540?
  3. Which STVATYP code is used for the student's permanent residence?
  4. How do you mark a student as incarcerated?
  5. How do you mark a student who is still enrolled in high school?
  6. How do you mark a student who has completed orientation?
  7. How do you mark a student who has completed their education plan?
  8. How do you record students who have completed a math assessment?English assessment?
  9. Do you use Banner financial aid to handle Board of Governors Fee Waivers (BOGFW)?  If not, please describe how you store a BOGFW award to a student.
    Please list the fund codes that denote a BOGFW award or describe how the query should be written to retrieve a BOGFW student

  10. Do you use Banner Admissions for tracking CCC Apply applications?

    If so, please list the values you use on SAADCRV Decision for:

    If not, how do you track CCC Apply applications?


Cohort Code Questions

While assigning the students to the Cohort code, a new cohort code (STVCHRT) needs to be set up in Banner so that it helps identify the CE student using the new code. It's easier if separate codes are set up when there are multiple schools within the district so that it gets created against the miscode. For eg; Ventura has set up separate ones for each school within their district.

Financial Aid/BOGFW Questions

  1. What Financial Aid Awards do you use for the BOG Fee Waiver?
  2. When adding units to ROAENRL, the Adjust hour field will be incremented and also the consortium flag will be set to Y. There will be a custom staging table to keep track of the add/drop of classes and accordingly adjusted in ROAENRL.
  3. Where do you store BOGFW data and provide query to identify eligible students? eg: RVASFND
    A custom staging table RZRSAAP will be storing the records for BOGFW for the student with a similar table structure as the RVRSAAP base table.
