Problem Statement or Business Need

Per Vice Chancellor Omid Pourzanjani, questions MUST be removed from the CCCApply application in order to make it shorter. The CCCApply Redesign Workgroup has been meeting bi-weekly since June 1, 2018 to determine how to 

NOTE:  Patty to send Omid all information available on the SSN revision per IRS mandate from 2015.  Ask Tim if we have any information on specifically which department at the IRS did the language come from?



Questions to be removed from the CCCApply Standard Application:

College Enrollment:

Change order of the response options in the drop-down menu, putting "enrolling in high school (or lower grade) and college at the same time" first (1) in the order of four. This was discussed at the CACCRAO 2018 A&R Directors Training session (9-18-18) with Sonja Horn (Yuba), Brian Dean (Citrus/Cypress? (add values to the High School Education Level and rename the question (only) Highest Education Level. 

College Attended - add skip logic to only display if user has logical College Enrollment Status. If displayed then remove the a"Attendance From" and "Attendance To" fields from display. 

From Citizenship Status - add DACA value to the field response options

Parent Education Levels (check with Omid)

Athletic Interest Questions (3)

Special Residency questions: Seasonal Ag worker, CA public 

Considering removing the Needs & Interests table.  Mike Caruso explained why these are invaluable to the MyPath application.

  2. Combine the high school education levels and the college education levels into one field (No back-end changes are needed for this - it would all be front-end changes)
  3. There are three fields currently that are populated from two current onscreen questions (HS Education Level & College Education Level):
  • <hs_edu_level>
  • <higher_edu_level>
  • <highest_edu_level>


None because there will be no change to the data output to the colleges - we are just combining two fields into one (removing College Education Level dropdown from the application)

  1. Remove this page from the workflow can move the information to an About page link accessible from the header. 
  2. The landing page for OpenCCC.net would be an enhanced version of the SignIn page.

Since we will be redesigning the UI in a future release, it makes sense to simplify these types of changes in this version, right?

Amanda - can you please update this ticket and the Previous Name format change ticket to just "default response to No/False" and make sure the user can easily click on Yes to change their answer.
