Problem / Issue
Currently, the application is not configured to allow dual enrollment students (students enrolled in high school (or lower grade) and college at the same time) to declare that they have a college degree (AA/AS or BA/BS) while still attending high school or lower grade.
The application needs to allow students enrolled in high school (or lower grade) to declare an accurate education level and degree status for their college attendance.
Since the application is not currently allowing this use case (data) to be reported (captured), we have no data on how many users may be affected. This will be reviewed by the Advisory/Steering committee to get feedback on need so that this can be prioritized.
Proposed Solution
Update the College Enrollment Status and High School/Higher education level fields to allow students who are enrolled in high school (or lower grade) and college at the same time to declare/disclose current or previous college information (college education level, colleges/universities attended, degrees obtained).
If a student is enrolled in high school (or lower grade) and also enrolling in college, they should be presented with the checkbox that allows them to override the logic preventing them from reporting college information.< (Patty needs to confirm that sentence). Currently the application prevents them from having an enrollment status of "Y" and still declaring any college information.
