Java Version Update 2019: Colleges still using the CCCApply Download Client to download their CCCApply submitted applications should review the announcement regarding the important Java Version Update for the CCCApply Download Client, and update your CCCApply download XML files with the latest "transfer-client jar" file after each release (Pilot and Production v.6.5.0 releases). Remember - An update to your Pilot and Production Download Clients needs to be run in your environment as well as your Pilot environment. For information on how to run the Jar file update, please refer to the Download Client User Guide v.2019.1. |

CCCApply Download Client - Current Production Version
When new fields are added to CCCApply in a scheduled release, they need to be manually added to each relevant Application-specific Format Definitions XML file (every CCCApply application has it's own Format Definition XML and Job File XML) AND you must update your Download Client with the release-specific Transfer-Client Jar file. A new 'transfer-client-jar" file is created for each release, including the 30-Day Pilot Site Previews.
In your installed Download Client directory, replace the older files with the latest version. The latest Download Client jar file aligns to CCCApply version 6.7.0.
Replace existing transfer-client jar file 6.7.0: transfer-client.6.7.0.jar
Replace conf/application-context.xml with: application-context.xml
Replace conf/ccctransfer.properties with: ccctransfer.properties

Remember...You must update the XML files for Pilot and Production environments, and run the latest Download Client Jar files after every new release that includes a data field change. |

NOTE: Java Version Update for the CCCApply Download Client
As of June 28, 2019 (Release 6.5.0), the CCCApply Download Client Jar will no longer support Java 8 or OpenJDK 8. CCCApply recommends that colleges running the Download Client v.6.4.0 or earlier version should upgrade to Corretto Java 8 or OpenJDK Java 11 in order to stay in compliance and continue to be supported by CCCApply technical support.
