Problem / Issue

Per Will Minnich at Skyline College in San Mateo CCD, CCCApply needs to "add “Personal Pronoun” to the application. We’ve recently added the below choices to our student portal page, so our students can chose and make the adjustment in their personal pronoun. However, we’d like this information captured and available to applicants upon completing the CCCApply application, hence reducing the steps to add/ modify this request. This has been a growing request from students in our district."

NOTE:  Patty met with Will on Monday, April 27 1pm to discuss more details about the request. These notes reflect that follow up call.

The solution proposed by Will is to not include this in the Account process but add it as an optional demographic or edit account field that could be set before they enter Apply or in Apply.  

This may be an opt-in/out field that colleges could choose to implement, especially if we add it to the application.

Patty will follow up with Michael Q. to see if the issue of tracking pronouns is something that the "Gender/Transgender" sub-committee is also looking at.
