*Non-SSO User = Direct access user (non-IdP) via two-factor authentication (2FA).

For password reset, use the self-serve Forgot Password? link on the DWRS Sign In page.

See Data Warehouse Report Server User Guide for more information including Password Reset Process, etc.

New Process for College/District Users

...

This change enables single sign-on for authorized users using their existing institution’s IdP credentials (email, password, etc.)

This means that college and district users will no longer “sign in” or authenticate via the direct, two-factor (2FA) process. Changes and updates to user credentials should be directed to your internal college/district IT staff.

For help using the Report Server, please refer to the Data Warehouse Report Server User Guide.

The email address in the new DWRS system must match the one used to create the account initially. If that email address changes at the college end, please contact CCCTC Support to update this information.

Note

Put a note about problems or issues with colleges/districts that have email issues - direct them to Support. Authentication (use the code on top) or use local time.

Update Process for Existing User Accounts (non-SSO)

What do other external users (non-SSO) need to do to update their existing DWRS user account?

  • All other user account types (non-SSO users) must complete a one-time update process for their existing accounts

  • From the DWRS Sign in page via the new DWRS URL (should redirect the user, but not sure):

  • Confirm account Email address is valid and updated in our system (KC).

    • Ensure the Email Address entered is the one used during account creation. This is needed to validate and reset password (one-time).

    • If email is no longer valid or is forgotten, the user should contact CCCTC Support to update the email address in their user account. The user should then return to the Sign In page.

  • On the Sign In page, click on the Forgot Password? link, enter your email address and Submit.

  • Retrieve Reset Password email and click the verification link. Add and confirm a new password when the Update Password page appears.

  • Return to Sign In page and retry logging in with email and new password.

  • Ensure

manually updated in the new secure system. The DWRS currently does not have a self-serve email update function.

Summary of the update process for a Non-SSO user:

  1. New URL for direct access (no IdP) users*

  2. A one-time Password Reset is required to re-authenticate your existing account.

  3. You must have a valid Email address that matches the email associated with your account for the DWRS. If your original email address has changed, please contact Support.

  4. A one-time repeat of the First-time User Log In process is required to re-authenticate your account access.

What is a Non-SSO user in the DWRS?

This type of user is accessing the Data Warehouse Report Server using direct, two-factor authentication (2FA) with an account created by the CCCTC Enabling Services. This user is not authenticating through a college or district IdP.

Who should have a Non-SSO user account?

Non-SSO users include authorized users from the Chancellor’s Office, CVC/OEI, and other external stakeholders who are not accessing the DWRS through a college or district IdP.
