The all new OpenCCC Account collects and stores student’s personal and contact information, as well as account sign in and authentication data. The information is captured credential data, with the ability to edit and update your account information is a critical function of the lifelong OpenCCC account system as the system is intended to be a because it ensures recovery is to ensure that students can sign in to access systemwide applications and services successfully, every time.
The fields that can be displayed and modified in the Edit Profile service include sign in fields populated during account creation, as well as user Profile fields that are passed to the college in the CCCApply admission application process.
The primary functions of the recovery service include:
Resolving Sign In issues
Recovering account access to verify credentials and personal information
Resetting & updating the account password
One consolidated service for editing and storing user account information.
Users can access the Edit Account service from their CCCApply My Applications page(s) or from the Settings menu in the header of any CCCApply or MyPath application.
All Account fields can be edited.

Student Account System & The CCCID When an account is created by a user, a unique identifier is created for that user called the CCCID (California Community Colleges ID) and the user's personal identification data is stored in an Identity Center. The CCCID is the master link between the Identity Center, admission applications, and other system wide technology services. CCCID & Student Data Passed to Colleges When a user is authenticated to use a systemwide service or application such as CCCApply or MyPath, the CCCID is passed to that service to identify the unique individual. In this way, services and applications can maintain personal accounts for the user anonymously, thus ensuring privacy for the user. |
