Release Summary

  • Security updates for Data Warehouse Report Server (DWRS) authorized user accounts. User action required.

  • New (CCCTC) identity management system was deployed supporting DWRS authorized accounts.

Security Updates for DWRS User Accounts

Security enhancements were implemented for Data Warehouse Report Server (DWRS) access, supporting single sign-on authentication (SSO) for colleges and districts via their institution identity provider systems, and additional security for non-SSO users via multi-factor authentication. All existing user accounts have been migrated to a new secure identity management system; however all users will need to take one or more, one-time actions to re-authorize their existing account access.

User Access Update Information

College & District Users (SSO): With the security updates deployed in this release, authorized college and district users will now access the Data Warehouse Report Server via their institution's secure IdP using their existing SSO user credentials. Custom URLs for each institution (based on MIS code) will now be used for colleges and districts; however no other changes have been made to user roles or access levels.

To find your college/district DWRS URL, please see Update Processes for Existing DWRS Users for step by step instructions. For all other help, please contact CCCTC Staff Support at staffsupportccctc@openccc.zendesk.com or visit our online support community: CCCTechnology.info.

Chancellor’s Office & Other External Stakeholders (Non-SSO): Non-college & district account holders will continue to sign in to the DWRS using multi-factor authentication with an established user account created by the CCCTC Enabling Services implementation team.

New users should refer to the Getting Started section in the Data Warehouse Report Server User Guide; while existing users should click here for three easy steps to re-authenticate their existing accounts.

For help with your existing user account, please contact the CCCTC Enabling Services implementation team at crms@ccctechcenter.org.
