Release Summary

  • Security updates for Data Warehouse Report Server (DWRS) authorized user accounts. User action required.

  • New (CCCTC) identity management system was deployed supporting DWRS authorized accounts.

Security Updates for DWRS User Accounts

Security enhancements were implemented for Data Warehouse Report Server (DWRS) access, supporting single sign-on authentication (SSO) for colleges and districts via their institution identity provider systems, and additional security for non-SSO users via multi-factor authentication. All existing user accounts have been migrated to a new secure identity management system; however all users will need to take one or more, one-time actions to re-authorize their existing account access.

Important Changes for DWRS Users

College & District Users (SSO): With the security updates deployed in this release, authorized college and district users will now use a new custom URL (configured to their institution’s MIS code) to access the Data Warehouse Report Server (DWRS), allowing single sign-on authentication using their own college or district’s IdP credentials. Other than the URL change, no other changes were made to existing user roles or access levels.

Notice: New DWRS URL for Existing College & District Users (SSO users) - Action Required

If you are currently an authorized user for the Data Warehouse Report Server you should use the new custom URL configured to your unique IdP. Find your URL here: Data Warehouse Report Server URLs for Colleges & Districts.

If you encounter any issues with the custom URL or single sign-on authentication, please contact a CCCTC Support representative at staffsupportccctc@openccc.zendesk.com.

Chancellor’s Office & Other External Stakeholders (Non-SSO): Direct access user accounts (not authenticating through a college or district IdP) will continue to access the DWRS using two-factor authentication (2FA) with an account created by the CCCTC Enabling Services implementation team. The new URL for direct access is https://dw-reports.ccctechcenter.org/jasperserver-pro/login.html.

Notice: Change to the DWRS URL for Existing Users (Non-SSO) - Action Required

Following the security updates made in this release, the DWRS has a new URL for direct access users, including CCCCO, CVC/OEI, and other external users. In addition, existing account holders will be required to reset their passwords and repeat the account verification process the first time they attempt to sign in to the Report Server following this production release.

This simple one-time update is detailed here: DWRS User Account Update.
Additional information and FAQs are also provided for your reference.
