Data Services Program Overview

CCC Data, supported by the Data Management Grant (DMG) from the California Community Colleges Chancellor's Office, provide our Colleges with access to critical data used to support institutional decision-making aligned with the CCCCO Vision 2030.

Since the 2016 introduction of the CCC Data Lake to store raw CCCApply and assessment data, CCC Data has expanded to include the CCC Data Warehouse. This effort added structure to the raw data and makes it available for reporting in the CCC Data Warehouse Report Server to the Chancellorโ€™s Office and all 116 California Community Colleges.

CCC Data is populated with data from:

  • Student Journey Data (combining data from several of the below data sources)

  • Canvas data, as requested by college

  • CCCApply: Application (Credit and Noncredit), including LGBTQ+ Data and report

  • CCCApply: International application

  • CCCApply: Promise Grant

  • C-ID

  • COCI

  • CO-MIS data

  • Multiple Measures Placement Service (MMPS)

  • MyPath usage data

  • SuperGlue Fraud Data Reporting

CCC Data also contains the following data sources, available to the CCCCO at this time:

  • Launchboard (including SCFF)

  • NOVA

  • CTEOS

The project is an AWS-centric, cloud-based solution that stores and structures data sets from the CCC data sources. The data is quickly discovered, retrieved, and used for analytics, reporting, or data mining.

Data is made available to authorized users at the Chancellors office, Colleges and District Offices either through the Data Warehouse Report Server, a Direct Connection to the Data Warehouse, or automated data integration.
