Course Detail

All fields on this page are required. Depending on the course type, select fields will be displayed as “read-only” with the field response populated. For example Noncredit Category (CB22) is shown with a “Y - Credit Course” response on the form by default for credit courses. Read only fields are displayed with the field title in grey.

Units & Hours

All possible units and hours fields are now displayed in the for. Field are not conditionally hidden or displayed. Minimum Hours of Work and Maximum Hours of Work are new to the form and become required or disabled based on the Course Cooperative Work Experience Education Status (CB10) response provided on the Detail tab. Responses provided in these fields now auto contributes to the auto calculation in the Units of Credit - Minimum (CB07) and Units of Credit - Maximum (CB06) fields.

PLEASE NOTE: Previously, when a response of “C” was provided in the field Course Cooperative Work Experience Education Status (CB10), conditionally displayed fields Hours of Paid Work and Hours of Unpaid Work were required. Responses provided in old fields have been mapped to Minimum Hours of Work and Maximum Hours of Work as a consolidated number.

Transfer & Articulation

This tab contains three optional sections:

  • C-ID Articulation Mapping

  • CSU General Education Mapping

  • IGETC Mapping

The default selection for these optional fields is set to off. Switching the toggle to on expands the fields. When adding a transfer mapping in either the CSU GE or IGETC sections, users are required to add the supporting documentation from ASSIST.

PLEASE NOTE: The old course form contained a field for users to denote whether a course fulfilled the CSU GE Area F Ethnic Studies Requirement. COCI 4.0.1 contains a migration that will move all “Yes” responses to this field to the new CSU General Education Mapping section. No action is required by users.
