After you have set up and tested your new BOG implementation in the Pilot environment, migrate your Rules and set up Users in the Production Administrator. Copy or create a set of BOG Format & Job XML files for the Production download process. Ensure all data fields are mapped correctly to your Student Information System (SIS). Conduct testing and plan deployment. 


Production Environment Deployment Tasks

Below is a simplified list of tasks for setting up the "Production" environment for the BOG application. Please refer to your BOG IT Project Checklist - produced for you during your BOG project overview meeting with the CCC Tech Center implementation team - to see the itemized task list for setting up the Pilot (QA) environment for testing.

 

Notify CCC Tech Center team of anticipated "Go Live" date 2 weeks before displaying new BOG URL to students
Using existing Download Client - ensure Format & Job XML files are created for Production downloads (Contact Merrie Wales, mwales@ccctechcenter.org) for assistance.

Create

copy of BOG Format XML containing the BOG data fields you wish to download from Production server (See Download Client User Guide for details.)

Create copy of BOG Job XML file pointing to BOG Production server (See Download Client User Guide for details)

Create schedule to run Production download job

Indicate BOG Year in district table in production

on your local workstation or server

Ensure the "BOG Year" field is set correctly on the District Tab in the CCCApply application in the Production Administrator

Add or change all BOG application buttons/links on college website to point to new URL.

Update Go live date in College table for all colleges in the district

Advise Help Desk of new BOG colleges

During your implementation project, requests for general assistance, training, or assistance setting up the Administrator, send an email directly to your Implementation team for immediate assistance (M-F 8-4pm). To request technical support specific to your implementation, send an email to:

Emails automatically generate support tickets which are tracked and managed by CCCApply College Support and/or OpenCCC Help Desk Support (if issue pertains to student).
