CCCApply - Focused on Success: Mapping the Road Ahead

Featuring a range of topics and speakers covering the year in review and the roadmap ahead.  The break-out sessions are offered in three tracks including topics for new and experienced Admissions & Records staff; Report Center training and data handling best practices; and a special series of sessions exploring new projects and statewide initiatives, including MyPath, the Student Services Portal, and Project Glue.


Keynote Speaker

Pamela D. Walker, Ed.D.

Vice Chancellor of Educational Services

Vice Chancellor Pam Walker

Dr. Pamela D. Walker serves as vice chancellor for educational services at the California Community Colleges Chancellor’s Office and leads the divisions of Academic Affairs, Student Services and Workforce and Economic Development.

Dr. Walker is a highly regarded educational leader with experience as a faculty member and administrator in the K-12 system, multiple four-year university systems and in the California Community Colleges. She came to the Chancellor’s Office from American River College after spending 12 years in positions as the dean of science and allied health, associate vice president for instruction, vice president for student services and interim president. At Cerritos College, she was the dean of heath, physical education, recreation, athletics and dance and interim dean of admissions and records. She also held the position of associate commissioner for the California Community College Athletic Association. Prior to her tenure in the California Community Colleges system, Walker worked at both public and private colleges and universities.

Walker is a tireless advocate for the benefit of education working throughout her career to develop programs of distinction to better serve students. She is passionate about mentoring the next generation of leaders and has taught graduate classes and served on numerous dissertation committees. 

Dr. Walker received her bachelor’s degree from Eastern Oregon State University in LaGrande, master’s degree from California State University, Sacramento and doctoral degree in Organization and Leadership from the University of San Francisco.

Patty Donohue

Product Manager: CCCApply, OpenCCC, and CCC SSO Initiative, California Community Colleges Technology Center

Patty Donohue has been with the CCC Technology Center since 2008, supporting multiple student services projects and programs, including the California Virtual Campus, ePortfolio California, and eTranscript California. Currently Product Manager for CCCApply and OpenCCC, the statewide student account system, Patty is also leading the effort to connect the California Community Colleges to the OpenCCC SSO federated identity initiative.

Natalie Wagner

Specialist, Fiscal Standards & Accountability Unit, California Community Colleges Chancellor’s Office

Natalie Wagner recently began working as a specialist in the Fiscal Standards and Accountability Unit at the Chancellor’s Office. Her primary responsibilities are issues related to attendance accounting and residency. Prior to working in this capacity, Natalie worked as a fiscal analyst at the Chancellor’s Office focusing on the Community Colleges system budget and other fiscal related projects.


Robin Armour

Director, Admissions & Records, Los Medanos College 

Robin Armour has been working in Admissions & Records for 25 years, and for the last 8 ½ years as Director of Admissions & Records at Los Medanos College in the Contra Costa Community College District. Robin serves on several statewide and national committees, including the CCCApply Steering Committee. Robin is dedicated to ensuring student success on multiple levels.

Michael R. Quiaoit

Specialist, Student Services & Special Programs, California Community Colleges Chancellor’s Office

Michael Quiaoit is currently the Specialist over the Student Success and Support Program for the California Community College Chancellor's Office. Michael’s oversees a 270 million dollar program statewide for 113 colleges and 72 districts. He has a baccalaureate in Rhetoric from the University of California, Berkeley and a Master in Public Administration from California State University, Stanislaus. Michael has over 20 years of experience in higher education. He has worked as a Financial Aid Counselor, Policy Analyst, Project Director, and Marketing Director in both the university and community college environments.

Computer Lab

Just a short walk from the Campus Dining Hall, a facilitated computer Lab will be available for users to get help using the CCC Report Center, using the Administrator, exploring the International Application, or play around with some of the new tips & tricks learned in today’s concurrent sessions. A CCC Tech Center support engineer will be on hand starting at 11:30AM. There are only 15 computers available, so we may ask you double up with a colleague.

The Computer Lab opens at 11:30AM.
