CCCApply Spam Filter User Account Setup (MFA)

Single Sign-On (SSO) authentication is currently in development.

Introduction

For security purposes, the updated CCCApply Spam Filter Utility is currently using a MFA (Multi-Factor Authentication) sign in process for authorized CCC college users.

Install an Authenticator

To log in to the Updated Spam Filter Utility, you will need to install a One Time Passcode (OTP) authenticator application for each environment (Pilot and Production). Common authenticator options include:

Get Started

  1. Navigate to the updated CCCApply Spam Filter Utility URL.

    1. CCCApply Spam Filter Utility Pilot URL

    2. CCCApply Spam Filter Utility Production URL

  2. Enter Username: Use your official college or district email address (.edu).

  3. Enter Password

    1. First Time: Use the temporary password provided in the User Account Confirmation Email.  This is a throw-away password as you will be asked to reset this password immediately upon your first login to each environment.

  4. Click Sign in. You will be prompted to create a new password.

  5. Enter your new password and click Change Password. The OTP screen will appear:

  6. Open your authenticator app and scan the QR code to set up your CCCApply Spam Filter profile.  (Note: It’s helpful to add “Pilot” and “Prod” next to each profile setup in your chosen authenticator tool).

  7. Once the profile is set up, open the new profile to get your one time code. Enter the code in the One-time code field, and add a descriptive name to the Device Name field (i.e., work laptop).

  8. Click Sign in. The Updated Spam Filter results will display. For more information on how to use the Updated Spam Filter, see the Updated Spam Filter Utility User Guide.
