Using the Student Journey Sankey Diagram

Using the Student Journey Sankey Diagram

Overview

A Sankey diagram is a data visualization tool that demonstrates the flow of values from one state to the next. In the Student Journey Sankey Diagram, you can see these data elements for a specific student:

  • which course was completed

  • date when the course was completed

  • college where the course was completed

  • degree earned

  • date when degree was earned

  • college from where the degree was earned

The example below demonstrates the interactive part of the diagram. Hover over each course to see where the course was completed and when. The diagram is organized with the oldest course/degree at the bottom of the page and the newest completed course/degree at the top of the page.
