15:58:13 From Nikki Crane : Hi! 16:15:43 From Laura : Did you block off your stacks area? If so, how? 16:19:29 From Lori Lisowski to Cathy Tully(Direct Message) : If we have a chance before the end of the hour, I have a letters config question 16:19:52 From Cathy Tully to Lori Lisowski(Direct Message) : OK. I can try and answer the question. 16:21:36 From Kymber Ensele - LTCC : We do not take money either. 16:21:57 From Steve Hunt : We were told a new state law forbids blocking students grades, transcripts or registration due to fines or fees. 16:22:20 From Kymber Ensele - LTCC : Lake Tahoe Self Schedule: ltcc.edu/booking 16:22:37 From Lori Lisowski to Cathy Tully(Direct Message) : I'm using some conditional statements and they're working, but the info is showing up right justified in the letter instead of in the rest of the sentence. 16:24:49 From Laura Galván-Estrada : Hi Kymber. Do you have librarians onsite while you are open? Also, you said there are 30% of classes face to face. Have you gotten any requests for f2f library instruction? 16:25:09 From Cathy Tully to Lori Lisowski(Direct Message) : I think that is an issue with the XSL. Maybe the information isn't nested in the correct location. If you send me the XSL, I can take a look at it. 16:26:14 From Kymber Ensele - LTCC : All of our adjunct librarians are on site for most of their weekly hours as well as the director and are on Cranium Café for all open hours 16:26:33 From Antonio López : Gotta go. Thanks for sharing about your plans! : ) 16:26:52 From Kelsey Shapiro (she/her) : When I started at Cabrillo College, one of our librarians recommended this TED talk to me in order to get me more versed in the fine free ethos: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U-a5B6UXF2c&t=278s 16:27:19 From Lisa Brlas - Grossmont College (she/her) : @Steve, we don't block for transcripts anymore. 16:27:29 From Cathy Tully : Our college still hasn't decided if faculty will be required to be on campus this fall when we are to reopen. 16:29:49 From Lisa Brlas - Grossmont College (she/her) : Grossmont College is considering bringing back in the Fall when we offer more days and times, and it's because Circulation is very short staffed here. 16:30:14 From Lisa Brlas - Grossmont College (she/her) : oops about student workers 16:32:27 From Laura : Are library services and spaces limited to student use only or do you allow community members? Any admin guidance or policy on this during phased reopening? 16:33:29 From Kacey Bullock : At Sierra College, we're trying to get student workers hired for fall as it is sounding more and more like our campus will be reopening in the fall. (Classes are 30% on-ground, but managers and most staff will likely be required to be back on campus by mid-august.) Student workers would likely help with capacity on each of our floors at the Rocklin Campus and assist with circulation/student ID appointments for the Fall. Reference service will still be virtual, but our dean just made an announcement this week that librarians will be back in the library starting in the fall. 16:33:59 From Lisa Brlas - Grossmont College (she/her) : College affiliates only for a while. 16:35:56 From Kelsey Shapiro (she/her) : Thank you, Kacey and Lisa! 16:37:51 From Kymber Ensele - LTCC : We have boosted ALL of the outdoor wifi on campus, not just the library. 16:39:13 From Kymber Ensele - LTCC : Our computer lab is under construction and will not be on line until 2023 :( We will just be in house chromebooks or quarterly chromebooks until then. 16:39:31 From Kymber Ensele - LTCC : We had 4 inches of snow fall last Tuesday! 16:39:56 From Cathy Tully : August in my area is 100 degrees 16:43:02 From Kymber Ensele - LTCC : all of those came from facilities as well. I can email pictures to anyone who wants to see what those look like. 16:43:40 From Kymber Ensele - LTCC : we are academic affairs as well. 16:43:50 From Cathy Tully : academic affairs as well 16:44:06 From Kymber Ensele - LTCC : I wish we were funded as academic 16:44:12 From Kacey Bullock : we are under academic affairs but will likely be moved to student services within a year or so 16:45:52 From Kymber Ensele - LTCC : For how small we are, we are fortunate to have a 4 desk area that are all 8 feet away from each other (and all can view circulation/distribution). 16:47:18 From Cathy Tully : The majority of books are on the second floor, but so are 2 classrooms that are going to be used by the college, so we are putting up barriers around our stacks. 16:47:41 From Kymber Ensele - LTCC : Our 3 adjuncts share a desk, but are never there at the same time. 16:52:29 From Kymber Ensele - LTCC : That's why we did the reservation system, but it has not actually been necessary yet. We'll see what happens at midterms. 16:52:43 From Kacey Bullock : Our lead librarian is working on a schedule that is hybrid (perhaps with some sort of regular rotation of the librarians for in-person staffing) for our reference desk. It appears that we will be open 8-8 M-Th, and 8-5 Fridays and although reference will be offered completely virtually, our dean wants a librarian presence within the building 16:52:59 From Cathy Tully : No... we have T-Mobile/Sprint 16:53:16 From Laura : Personally, but fortunately not at our library! 17:00:57 From Lisa Brlas - Grossmont College (she/her) : We will not have evening hours for a long time. 17:01:50 From Cathy Tully : Thank you! 17:01:55 From Kymber Ensele - LTCC : Our campus is hard closed on Saturday, so we have been doing virtual Sunday hours and a few weeknights just for pick up. 17:02:00 From Kymber Ensele - LTCC : Thank you all. 17:02:02 From Kacey Bullock : Thanks so much for providing this space! 17:02:10 From Laura Galván-Estrada : Thank you, everyone 17:02:19 From Kymber Ensele - LTCC : It is great to have like minded people to vent with. :) 17:02:37 From Kelsey Shapiro (she/her) : Agreed, thank you all!! 17:02:39 From Lynda Letona (She, Her, Ella) : Thanks! 17:02:39 From Steve Hunt : Thank you to the Circ Work group for this
